Letter of Reference #4
I am happy to provide a letter of reference regarding the remodeling project that you completed on our kitchen. Our house is a Normandy Tudor style home built in 1932. We decided to take down the wall separating our kitchen and dining room to create a large family eating and gathering area. Though we thought carefully about "sacrificing" our formal dining room, we have been glad we did it every day since. We had several estimates for the job, and your price was competitive and fair.
Your advice and knowledge were tremendously valuable throughout the project, and the most valuable aspect to me was how reasonable and accountable you were (and are). Each inevitable hiccough along the way, from asbestos in the walls through each of the unavoidable surprises that an old house holds, was handled smoothly and efficiently. Never having been through a major project like this, I did not anticipate how important the relationship between the homeowner and the GC would be. The troubles that I hear from our friends and neighbors who were not so fortunate in their choice of contractor have driven this home for me.
The quality of your work and your ability to preserve the feel and style of our house made the project blend in so well that you would never know it was a renovation and not the original construction. Your follow through has also been great-when we began to notice some water damage you accurately traced the problem to an upstairs window sealed it up, and did not charge me for the extra work.
I would be happy to serve as a reference for prospective customers, and you should not hesitate to contact me for this.
