To whom it may concern:
I would recommend Remodeling Alliance to anyone with complete confidence!
We broke ground to nearly double the size of our home. The real challenge lied in the fact that we opted to live in the house for the duration of the project. From the very beginning, Mike and his associates were careful and attentive to detail in arranging “living quarters” for my husband & I and three children then aged 13, 11 and 5 years. As you can imagine we are a very active household and Remodeling Alliance was able to provide a clean, safe environment in which we could live for a 3-4 month period of time.
While the architect did a fine job designing our new home, it was Mike who was able to envision the final product and ask practical questions which definitely enhanced the functionality of every room. His attention to detail was impeccable. And when a challenge arose, it was not unusual to see Mike roll up his sleeves and personally solve the problem.
With regards to the timeline, we were right on target. In fact any delay was on our behalf because we were awaiting delivery of the cabinets. It is also significant that in January the construction was moving at a fast pace when my mother passed away. Upon telling Mike, he was extremely respectful and pulled his crew out of the house for the week to give us the space and privacy we needed. From the initiation of the project, the crew arrived at our doorstep each and every morning and in fact on many weekends in an effort to move the construction along. All staff was courteous and respectful. I never felt the need to “baby-sit” my house because I trusted them implicitly. In fact, our construction occurred during the Christmas holidays and we were most saddened by not being able to decorate, etc. However, lo and behold we came home one afternoon right before the holiday and the staff had taken down a temporary wall to give us more space and put up a six foot Christmas tree for us!! It was the kindest gesture and something my family will never forget!
With regard to the craftsmanship, Mike and his team did a superb job. They were organized and attentive to details. All questions were pondered and solutions offered. Paperwork kept up with the project and it was always clear where we were at. There was good coordination amongst subcontractors and when any problem arose Mike worked diligently to resolve it. To date, they remain responsive and pleasant to work with any small problems we have encountered.
In conclusion, I would highly recommend Remodeling Alliance for any renovation project. Living through construction project in your own home can be a very stressful time, but Mike and his team were a pleasure to work with.

As a satisfied and repeat customer of Remodeling Alliance since 2002, I would not hesitate to highly recommend them. Over the years I have contracted them in different capacities. I have used them for an extensive addition, bathroom and interior remodeling, and for the construction of anew home.
I found them to be totally “customer conscious” from the planning stage through to completion; with exceptional attention to every detail. This included questions, concerns, and problem solving (if any), that I might have had. I also found them to be, at all times, professional, courteous, and above all, respectful.
At times during the job I requested and had changes made. The job was still completed in a timely manner with everything done to my satisfaction. The work was done without my supervision, as I had to go to work, and found them to be trustworthy. The workmanship I felt was of the highest quality. This I believe was due to Mike’s choice of workers, coordination skills, and his watchful supervision. This should also be attributed to the dedication of Mike, who’s first and only concern is to please the customer.
I am totally confident and absolutely certain that Remodeling Alliance continues to be my first and only choice for future projects.

Mike Corrao and Remodeling Alliance are a great find. We met Mike a in 2003 when we wanted to finish our basement, and we haven’t looked for another contractor since. Whether the job is big or small, Mike is our only call.
With our basement, Mike went above and beyond our expectations. He made sure we were up to date every step of the way. He made sure things were done that we had no idea needed to be done. We were adding a bedroom in the basement, and Mike made sure the walls were thicker and insulated so playroom noise was more filtered. In the bathroom, he reinforcing walls in multiple spots for towel bars or hooks to make sure we had options when installing them. We had no idea about these sorts of things, but Mikes experience made our finished basement a great addition to our home. He was very responsive after the job was complete when we had a leak in the new shower.
Since our basement job, he has replaced our gutters, painted our living room and put up molding, remodeled our kitchen, replaced our front door and back door sliders, and put in a transom window. He has gladly stopped by to discuss projects and give estimates on projects we were just thinking about.
I have learned to rely on Mike’s expertise and experience when making home improvement decisions. He knows brands, stores, suppliers, building codes, paints, tiles, you name it. We have relied on his opinion/suggestions many times. He has access to plumbers and
electricians who care as much as he does.
Mike is a true find. His prices are fair, and his work is superior. He and his crew are timely and never leave a mess. They take the time to cover the floors and doorways when needed for protection. Mike and his team have even worked late and on weekends to finish up a job. I totally trust Mike and his crew in our home without supervision. They are all around good people.
We would highly recommend Mike Corrao and Remodeling Alliance for any home improvement job you may need. You’ll be glad you did.
A few anecdotes:
When redoing our kitchen, I was having trouble finding the right color paint. I spent about $75 on those small paint cans trying out colors. On a Friday night, we returned home from a baseball game at about 7:30 pm. Mike had left a message telling me to look at a few paints he thought I might like on the Benjamin Moore color wheel. He cared enough about the job he and his crew were doing to make help me make a decision.
The transom window Mike installed came with custom molding, since the window is rounded. Well, the molding was too short. Before I had a chance to call the window store to get this problem resolved, Mike and his team came up with the idea of adding a keystone to the center of the molding to make it fit. It worked!! And, it looks great.
The front door lock we ordered when we had our door replaced was missing the cylinder that the key goes in. I had to order a new one but in the mean time, Mike just put the old cylinder in the door. As soon as I received the new cylinder, I called Mike and he was at my house the next day.
These are just a few of the stories I’ve told about Remodeling Alliance. We’ve become spoiled with having someone like Mike and his team, who have knowledge and experience and who care and are responsive.

I am happy to provide a letter of reference regarding the remodeling project that you completed on our kitchen. Our house is a Normandy Tudor style home built in 1932. We decided to take down the wall separating our kitchen and dining room to create a large family eating and gathering area. Though we thought carefully about “sacrificing” our formal dining room, we have been glad we did it every day since. We had several estimates for the job, and your price was competitive and fair.
Your advice and knowledge were tremendously valuable throughout the project, and the most valuable aspect to me was how reasonable and accountable you were (and are). Each inevitable hiccough along the way, from asbestos in the walls through each of the unavoidable surprises that an old house holds, was handled smoothly and efficiently. Never having been through a major project like this, I did not anticipate how important the relationship between the homeowner and the GC would be. The troubles that I hear from our friends and neighbors who were not so fortunate in their choice of contractor have driven this home for me.
The quality of your work and your ability to preserve the feel and style of our house made the project blend in so well that you would never know it was a renovation and not the original construction. Your follow through has also been great-when we began to notice some water damage you accurately traced the problem to an upstairs window sealed it up, and did not charge me for the extra work.
I would be happy to serve as a reference for prospective customers, and you should not hesitate to contact me for this.

My wife, Mary, and I enthusiastically recommend Mike Corrao and Remodeling Alliance for your remodeling job, no matter how big or small.
We first used Mike to conduct substantial renovations on our two-family home in the Bronx. The house was built by my grandfather in 1922, and had great sentimental value, even though it needed significant modernizing. Mike’s attention to detail allowed us to integrate changes to the house while keeping much of the original feel. His creative eye helped us solve problems in very limited space. His meticulous work habits for himself and his crew kept the workspace livable for us and our four children while the construction was underway. Every day when the crew left, the workspace was as clean as humanly possible. A number of our children suffer from asthma and Mike was especially conscious of putting up as many barriers as possible to keep the construction dust to a minimum in the parts of the house we were using.
When we moved to Pleasantville and needed work done on a 1930s tudor house, we didn’t even consider using anyone but Mike. We have put three additions on our home over the years and have involved Mike right from the design and planning stages for each project. In addition, we have called on his services for repair projects, drainage issues and regular maintenance, such as when part of the roof needed to be replaced. His integrity is unquestionable. When we ask him about a particular need, he doesn’t hesitate to tell us, “You don’t need me for that. Here’s the number of the right guy for that job.”
Most importantly for us is that feeling of trust you get when Mike or his crew are working in your home. You know the job will be done well. You know they will treat you and your space with respect. You know they will stand by their work. When Mike finishes your job, don’t be surprised by a phone call out of the blue just to “see if everything is working well” and to make sure there aren’t any problems.
We have recommended Mike to neighbors, friends and family. We have been told his estimates usually come in higher than other contractors. We have always found his estimates to be accurate. Some friends have used him and some have gone with less expensive alternatives. In most cases, the less expensive alternative has proven more costly in overruns, delays and frustration. We have never experienced any of these with Remodeling Alliance.
We would be happy to speak with you directly if you are considering using Remodeling Alliance. Feel free to call. JMS

To whom it may concern:
We write to express our satisfaction with the work that Remodeling Alliance did on our house a couple of years ago. We have recommended Remodeling Alliance to our friends and would be glad to serve as a reference for other prospective customers.
In the past, we have had bad experiences with contractors who were dishonest, unreliable or otherwise delivered less than they promised. None of that was true of Remodeling Alliance or, more precisely, Mike Corrao, who was our sole point of contact with the company (other than h team of workers) throughout the project (which consisted of converting and expanding an unfinished room into a bedroom for our son). In every respect, Mike was professional, timely, responsive and thorough. We were happy with the way the project turned out when it was completed, and, in the couple of years since then, no surprises have surfaced that would lead us to reconsider that judgment. Mike also did a good job of thinking through the project with us in advance.
We would be glad to answer any questions that readers of this letter may have.

I am writing this note to thank you again for the job you and your associates did in our home. I was grateful for your professionalism, timeliness, and patience in answering all my numerous questions over the weeks and months. The courtesy of all the people who came to work in our home and their efforts to make the disruption as clean and painless as possible, was deeply appreciated. I will not soon forget the help we got with the broken pipe, including the fact that your people stayed late in the evening to be sure that everything was resolved properly even though it was not your problem. I was really impressed. Special mention goes to Steve who was a pleasure to deal with in every way.
It was good to know that we have you available for any substantive work needed for our home in the future. I have not forgotten the roof, either. I hope to have the opportunity of referring friends to you.
If I can ever be of help in my own area of medicine, please do not hesitate to call on me.
Thank you again and best regards.

To whom it may concern:
Michael Corrao has worked in our home since 1997. They began with a major kitchen remodeling that involved structural changes as well as cabinets, islands, appliances, lighting and a stone tile floor. When, after one year, a defect in the sub-flooring caused tiles to crack, Mike did not hesitate to replace the sub-floor and all the tiles. An all new floor after we paid in full!
Mike has since remodeled two bathrooms, installed five skylights, French patio doors and has just finished an addition to the house.
All the work has been done exactly as we planned. Mike never imposed his way over our desires. He gave us advice but followed our wishes to the smallest detail. Additionally, any defect or mistake was corrected promptly without argument and in all cases after the contract was paid in full.
Please allow us to recommend Mike Corrao. You may call us if you have questions or need more detail.

DEAR MR. CORRAO:
THANK YOU FOR THE RECENT REPAIRS YOUR COMPANY MADE TO MY ROOF. I WAS PLEASANTLY SURPRISED TO FIND AFTER SIX YEARS YOUR FIRM STILL PROVIDES THE SAME COMPETENT RELIABLE SERVICE I EXPERIENCED WHEN YOU INSTALLED MY NEW ROOF.
DURING THE INSTALLATION OF MY ROOF I FOUND YOUR WORK TO BE OF A VERY HIGH QUALITY. THE WORK WAS DONE QUICKLY AND IN A NEAT ORDERLY FASHION. I ALSO FOUND YOUR PRICES FAIR AND REASONABLE. YOUR FOLLOW-UP LETTER AFTER THE WORK WAS COMPLETED ONLY ADDED TO MY SATISFACTION.
I AM ESPECIALLY GRATEFUL FOR YOUR MOST RECENT ROOF REPAIR. WHEN I CONTACTED YOU A MONTH AGO REGARDING FALLING SHINGLES AND A SMALL LEAK,YOU DID NOT HESITATE TO REPAIR THE ROOF. AS IT TURNED OUT, THE DAMAGE WAS THE RESULT OF A FALLEN TREE LIMB. I APPRECIATE THE FACT THAT YOU REPAIRED THE
ROOF WITHOUT CHARGE. THIS WAS ESPECIALLY KIND OF YOU, AS THE DAMAGE WAS NOT COVERED UNDER WARANTEE. YOUR ACTIONS ARE THE EXAMPLE OF A COMPANY THAT SEEKS TO SATISFY THEIR CUSTOMERS.
IN CLOSING, I WANT TO THANK YOU FOR THE SERVICES YOU HAVE PROVIDED OVER THE YEARS. I WILL ALWAYS RELY ON YOUR COMPANY FOR FUTURE REPAIRS AND WILL RECOMMEND YOU HIGHLY TO FRIENDS AND NEIGHBORS.
Letter of Reference #11
I have known and worked with Mike Corrao since 1995. Over the years, we have collaborated on many projects. He is a bidder on every project I design because I know that I can trust him to consistently deliver an outstanding product for my clients.
He has a good eye for design and space and is terrific at working with the homeowner and myself through the construction process and to refine the design when site conditions dictate. There are very often unforeseen obstacles during the remodeling process and Mike has a knack for finding intelligent solutions to resolve these problems.
In all the years that he has been building for my clients I have never had one single complaint or unsatisfied customer. When concerns arise as they do from time to time, Mike addresses them with professionalism and a sense of urgency. I have observed him going to great lengths to research a topic for a customer so that the advice he provided was accurate and appropriate for that circumstance.
Mike has the integrity that anyone would look for when engaging a contractor and he can be trusted to deliver on his promises. Mike is a team player and communicates well with the homeowners, tradesmen, and myself to achieve the ultimate objective of realizing the customer’s dream.
I can sense that Mike understands the disruption that a renovation causes in a one’s life because he does a great job of creating a clean, safe, and pleasant living environment while the work takes place alongside family life. He respects the homeowner’s properly and goes out of his way to be as careful as possible, both inside and outside of their home.
My clients have nothing but praise for the impeccable workmanship, strong organizational skills, and meticulous attention to detail that he applies to all that he does. I find Mike to be very thorough and he is committed to doing the best for my clients. I would highly recommend Mike and the entire Remodeling Alliance crew to deliver an enormously rewarding remodeling experience.
